Anne Boleyn & Cleopatra

Both were Queen’s in a male dominated world, both succeeded and created powerful kingdoms, and both had tragic endings…

Anne Boleyn didn’t create a powerful kingdom nor did her marriage to King Henry give birth to Protestantism (seriously every time I hear this I feel like screaming). Cleopatra on the other hand also didn’t create a powerful Kingdom but destroyed one.

I actually had meant to put that one helped created a powerful kingdom, so sorry about that. Also I never said anything about Protestantism, and Cleopatra helped re-establish a common connection between the Crown and the people, which I see personally as a triumph.

This day 476 years ago saw the end to the life of Queen Anne Boleyn. Her legacy still stood in the young Princess Elizabeth. Her works still continued through the people who promoted the Reformation through England. Her family continued through her sister’s children. But her reign was marked down forever in History. Her death might of eradicated her physical being allowing Henry to be free to marry another, but the rest of her constitutional work and royal heritage lived on throughout the ages. No other Tudor Queen obtained as much power as she did, and with no other Queen did Henry move Heaven and Earth for. With her death allowing Elizabeth to realise the torment and harsh reality of this ‘Mans’ world creating her ‘Golden Age’ rule, it was a reasonable sacrifice…
